2 Serve the Lord with gladness;
Come before His presence with singing.
3 Know that the Lord, He is God;
It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves;
We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. 4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving,
And into His courts with praise.
Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.
5 For the Lord is good;
His mercy is everlasting,
And His truth endures to all generations. Psalm 100 (NKJV)
GIVING THANKS FOR THE BLESSING OF FAITH
Join my family as we sit around the Thanksgiving table today and boldly declare aloud, to each other, those things for which we are most thankful.
And then let us offer a sacrifice of prayer to the One who has given us those blessings, and a return to Him by our people.
“if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14 (NKJV)A Thanksgiving Prayer For Our Nation
“Lord, we too want to come before you in thanksgiving and praise for your
mercy and your grace to us this year.
We confess our sins and thank you for your forgiveness.
We realize your blessings do not come because we deserve them,
but because of your love for us.
We thank you for what you did to give us eternal life.
We thank you for your goodness and loving kindness.
We thank you for provisions given to us day by day.
We praise you for giving us life and offering it to us abundantly.
We thank you for allowing us to come boldly before your throne
when we need it the most.
We thank you for being all wise, all knowing, and always faithful.
We ask you to strengthen us to be faithful in giving to others as you have given to us.
We simply praise you today Lord and fully acknowledge
our need of you in our daily lives.
Teach us, oh Lord, to pass along this Good News so others are blessed as well.
In Jesus name. Amen.”
